Global Risk
Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
Principal Responsibilities

By contributing to the development and implementation of prudent local credit policy and lending guidelines, procedures and controls across all business activities.

By evaluating new and existing credit proposals/reviews which have a high degree of complexity and data volume.
·
By ensuring that proposals under review and interpretation of financial statements are addressed within a committed timeframe.
·
By providing input on structuring of new products and services.
·
By preparation of Summaries for ASP/GHQ RISK.
·
By developing within Risk, a knowledge base about local and GHQ compliance issues (including environmental issues) so that Relationship Managers are provided guidance whilst sourcing business

By ensuring accurate and consistent interpretation of financial statements, of industry trends and of the various exogenous and endogenous issues relating to a credit.
·
By analysing the operating environment relating to key industries & the regulations that impact them and keeping abreast of the latest delevopments in the corporate sector.
·
By detecting early warning signals of deteriorating risks and advising these to the Relationship Managers. By complying with local regulatory guidelines and other internal requirements at all times.
·
By complying with local regulatory guidelines, and internal audit requirements, overseeing timely submission of returns to the Reserve Bank of India and APH/GHQ, and implementing internal/external audit recommendations
·
Strengthen relationships with internal customers and key stakeholders through regular meetings and interactions.
·
Contribute to industry presentations/emerging issues to INM CRO and INM Risk top team as well as APH / GHQ Risk as appropriate
·
This is an individual contributor role with significant responsibility to work without high managerial supervision.

· Set and oversee the policy, FIM and risk appetite limits.

Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.

Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Group Compliance Policy.
·
Maintain awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with section 4 of the Group Operations FIM.

Qualifications :
Additional Qualifications
·
Extensive knowledge of all aspects of commercial banking with a strong background in Corporate Banking and Trade Finance and an overall experience of 4-5 years in related areas (specifically 1-2 years in credit analysis).
·
Knowledge of Investment Banking & Project Finance transactions and Treasury products in addition to working knowledge of CBA products, acquired either through experience and/or formal training.
·
Knowledge of local laws and regulations, experience in dealing in a complex legal environment, and ability to track the economic, political and social trends and analyse the impact on the bank's asset base.
·
High levels maturity, resilience, sharp negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of Group Credit systems, policies and procedures, using systems such as HUB, CARM.
