Global Service Centres.

Our Global Service Centres are an integral part of Global Operations. Employees based there manage day-to-day customer transactions and processes for the global businesses. This may include transactions for our retail bank such as processing loans, credit cards, insurance and mortgage applications, opening new accounts, and managing customer enquiries through contact centres and digital platforms.

Employees in the Global Service Centres also run and manage operations for commercial bank customers. This includes processing credit applications, facilitating payments and managing the import and export transactions that enable customers to protect and grow their businesses through international trade.

Purpose of Department

Global Analytics Centre (GAC) provides support to various business groups and functions to drive analytics in decision making. The job responsibilities include data analysis, design, validation and calibration of credit risk models. In addition, GAC also supports credit risk strategy development and implementation, monitoring and validation. This forms the basis for strategic planning by the senior management for businesses and enables effective decision making to satisfy business needs and requirements along with addressing unforeseen challenges.

Credit Risk Management Strategy is a key functional area within Retail Risk Analytics. The function supports development and monitoring of origination and account management strategies across all retail products (secured and unsecured).

This role requires the incumbent to lead risk analysts, supporting business banking for above functions in the US market. This position reports into the Head of Credit Risk Strategy in the GAC.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join as AVP– Business Consulting, GSC's. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Job Description

The role lies in sphere of Business Consulting, providing credit risk strategy expertise and support on an ongoing basis to the US regional team.

·
The incumbent is also required to be hands-on and provide oversight on the quality of deliverables from GAC to all business partners for Strategy, strategy monitoring, portfolio insights, collection strategy etc.

·
The responsibilities span across acquisition strategy (Approve/Decline, Line assignment, Risk Based Pricing etc.), account management (CLI, CLD, authorization etc.) strategy and acquisition profitability modelling (P&L simulation), dialler prioritization/collection strategy, portfolio and risk reporting etc.

·
Key deliverables and accountabilities include:

·
Leading conceptualisation, execution and stakeholder engagement on all deliverables

·
Estimation of financial benefits and associated loss rates with appropriate benchmarking

·
Leading presentation and defence of new/enhanced strategies with credit committees and senior stakeholders including CXOs

·
Tracking actuals against projections and explaining the variance as a process of establishing efficacy of strategies

·
Develop strong business relationships with the regional teams and providing an independent view of effectiveness of various strategies

·
The incumbent would be expected to effectively explain the trends, adding meaningful insights on the back of relevant business knowledge.

·
People management responsibility ensuring high level of employee engagement and motivation could also be part of the role as it matures. However, accountability on end-to-end project management, ensuring productivity and output from the team are part of the role.

The role is expected to drive organizational engagement initiatives and help knowledge management for the benefit of broader team

Desired profile



Qualifications :

Skills/Experience Required

· 
At least a Bachelor's degree in mathematics/ statistics/ economics/Engineering or equivalent; Master's degree is desirable. Phd is a plus.

· 
Candidate should possess the ability to look at various business MI, identify concern areas and growth opportunities and use the same to further the organization's profitability goals

· 
Prior experience in managing risk activities in retail lending is essential

· 
Around 10 years of relevant experience in analytics specifically in the fields like Credit Risk Strategy Development, Loss Forecasting / Reserving, Modelling, Risk Strategy, Marketing analytics etc.

· 
Prior experience with leading development of acquisition risk strategy (Approve/Decline, Line assignment etc.), account management strategy (CLI, CLD, Authorization etc.) or strategy analysis and portfolio management would be preferred.

· 
Strong understanding of commercial (small business) and consumer lending products like Credit Cards, Mortgages, Personal Loans, Overdraft, Auto Loans and Line of credit

· 
Familiarity with credit risk concepts like loan impairment charges (LIC), risk adjusted returns(RAR), Return of RWA (RORWA) etc is required

· 
Direct experience of managing portfolio P&L and credit risk will be an added advantage

· 
Exposure to Advanced Analytics Techniques like Gradient Boosting, Random Forest and similar Machine Learning Techniques would be an added advantage

· 
Ability to deal with stakeholders who are regional head of credit risk (CXO) and/or analytics (head of analytics) is required

· 
Exposure to multiple markets across geographies will be advantageous for the candidature

· 
Prior project management & people management experience would be desirable
