Global Internal Audit Data Analytics Internship

Overview

This 12-week Intern programme is based within Global Internal Audit for students in the penultimate year of their university degree . To supports our growth strategy in China and India, this program is also aimed at final or penultimate year university students from China and India who are interested in returning to China/India to work after their study.

Successful applicants may be invited to attend the selection centre to be held in Birmingham and Edinburgh in February 2019. The selection process will give you the chance to experience what it will be like to work in Internal Audit and, at the same time, help us to decide whether you will be the right fit.

What you will do

On your internship, you will not only gain an introduction to the nature of Internal Audit, but you will also become involved in individual and/or team project using data analytics and other innovation tools. You will learn the importance of digital advancements and the impact they have to solve a variety of problems. You will evolve the skills you are passionate about, along with the necessary qualities needed to develop a career in internal audit.

To qualify for the application, you are expected to have a degree and/or qualification in Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Modelling, Econometrics, Applied Finance, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other similar quantitative field. Besides, understanding and proficiency in SQL, R, Python, Java, Cloud and Data Technologies, and non-open source tools are preferred.

If your internship goes well, you could be offered the opportunity to join our 2-year Global Internal Audit Graduate Programme based in the UK, China and India in 2020. From there, you will have the opportunity to progress to a role in Global Internal Audit where you can impact how technology plays its part in the world of banking and internal auditing.
