Job description
Role Purpose-
Scheduling & Workload Automation (S&WA) is an integral part of ITID - Data Centre & Operations (DC&O). S&WA are responsible for Globally delivering scheduling requirements at the quality and pace warranted by the business whilst maintaining the integrity of the scheduling environments. Our aim is to provide the workload automation capabilities to facilitate DevOps and Agile practices both internally and externally, and administer the end-end governance and oversight for all scheduling products.
The job holder of the role has the responsibility to manage the day-to-day planning, execution and operation of the team to ensure it delivers the required level of support for deliverables for all Global Businesses and functions in HSBC.
As a team leader you will be expected to monitor and maintain the team's performance to ensure that the day to day operational tasks are delivered as well as provide coaching and mentoring to the team.
The role involves working with other business areas within HSBC and requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential.
Planning skills are necessary to manage team resources by forecasting long-term needs and analyzing impact of daily deliverables and operations.
Actively drive team engagement especially with regards to working as a global team with no geographical boundaries. Create a shared vision and goals of the team, creating a positive effect on the team's perception in the organization.
Maintain and improve SLA's and ensure compliance to HSBC policies at all times.

Excellent and high numerical and analytical skills

Minimum 3 years of experience of working on BMC Control-M Scheduling Product (Scheduling and/or Infrastructure)
·
Attention to detail combined with strong delivery focus and ability to meet aggressive timeframes with quality results.
·
High degree of drive and motivation – to ensure delivery of objectives in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
·
Ability to communicate complex issues concisely
·
Strong relationship management skills with the ability to manage and engage multiple stakeholders.

Well-developed project management ,strong prioritization and organizational skills

Resourceful, ability to leverage resources available to achieve goals
·
Sound understanding of Risks and managing quality from a risk, service and cost perspective.

Desired profile
Qualifications :
Experience
·
Prior experience of Managing team(s) or Projects involving People Management
·
Experience of Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management and OLAs & SLAs
·
Working across cultures and in matrix organization structures
·
Experience of leading a Production Support or Operations team is preferred
·
Knowledge and Exposure to Platforms like zSeries, iSeries and Distributed is preferred
·
Knowledge of other Scheduling Products like TWS, CA-7 is preferred
