Markets Operations is responsible for driving every part of the trade lifecycle post execution. Its global teams manage settlement activity, risk and control, while ensuring the delivery of regulatory compliance and seamless operational client service across 60 countries.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Associate, Middle Office Desk Support,Trade Position Management Equities .

Principal responsibilities
· Global Markets are embarking on creating a cross asset class Middle Office organisation supporting its Global Markets business
· The Global Markets Middle Office comprises of Trade and Position Management,Trade Data Quality and Reporting and Risk and Valuations Data Quality and Reporting.
· The TPM function is asset class specific and comprises of all facets of the trade booking and trade maintenance lifecycle and all associated controls.
· The operating model for TPM is evolving to include a review of opportunities within the Finance and Traded risk functions
· The TPM Equities comprises of three functional layers including Desk Support, Control and Client Service and supports the three underlying product business units within the Equities business, including Cash Equities, Prime Finance and Equity Derivatives.
· The TPM Equities Desk Support function was formed in Q1 2017 combining the former Trading Assistants in the Front Office and the former Transaction Management Group in Operations
· The breadth of the TPM Equities Desk Support function range from Complex Trade Booking, Data Enrichment and Repair, Trade Lifecycle Events and Corporate Action Management, Query Resolution and Static and Market Data Management.
· This role will be responsible for the day to day desk support activities to the APAC Equities business mainly focusing on Delta1, Prime and SBL including the key functions described above.
· This role will also be assisting the implementation of key Business initiatives as well as contributing idea's to streamline manual processes within operations or Front to Back workflow.
· This role will have a strong working relationship with the APAC Sales and Trading, the Equity COO team as well as all relevant Front to Back stakeholders and support functions such as IT, Core Operations, Finance, Market and Traded Risks etc

Qualifications :

Requirements
·  Relevant years of experiences in an investment banking environment, preferably middle office or trade processing role
·  Sound knowledge in Equity Derivatives or Prime Finance products and the trade life cycles
·  A detailed understanding of derivatives Profit and loss and risk and the ability to explain movements in both are preferred
·  Fluent English language skills
·  Ability to pick up complex system architecture quickly
·  Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visual Basics knowledge is an advantage
·  Strong inter personal and communication skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·  Be a team player, partnership skills are essential to work with different functions within the bank
·  Strong sense of ownership of tasks and actions to resolve problems under tight deadlines.
·  Ability to handle multiple tasks with ease
·  Possess a change mind set and open to new ideas
·  Ability to work under pressure
