Principal Accountabilities:
· Act as a HSBC Brand Ambassador to build deep and lasting relationships with key client stakeholders in Japan, in order to retain existing and develop future business opportunities
· Develop your knowledge of key clients and decision makers to manage the relationships effectively, in line with the strategy for the business
· Understand client needs and requirements across different locations in Asia Pacific and be the champion of client centric culture by proposing & promoting Products and Services improvements and collaboration with other teams and departments to deliver value to clients
· Identify potential new business opportunities and liaise with wider HSBC group stakeholders as necessary to progress
· Partner strategically with the Business Development team to ensure effective partnership in follow up of new business opportunities
· Regularly meet with key clients, building their trust, and work on an effective structure to monitor and develop the client experience
· Play a key role in Request For Proposal processes, to enable expansion of your client base
· Be responsible for pricing and monitoring of client level profit and loss within the sector
Information
· To be successful in the role, you will need excellent relationship building, communicating and presentation skills.
· Fluency in Japanese language with strong experience in handling Japanese clients
· Sound understanding of global banking, custody and clearing or securities services products.
· Background in new client acquisition, client experience monitoring and client relationship management
· Experience with Japanese financial institutions coverage
· Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, decision making skills and a team player
· Must be able to work independently and effectively with minimal guidance to achieve the broader strategic objectives
· Able to coordinate a variety of initiatives in a complex and constantly changing environment
· Able to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively
· Personal qualities will include diplomacy, integrity and leadership skills.
