Sales, Distribution and Business Development plays a vital role in understanding and meeting customer needs by offering the right solutions through the right channels to the right customer segments. The team is responsible for implementing distribution strategy, driving the delivery of market leading retail customer experiences and thereby maximising customer satisfaction.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Vice President, Global Standards .

Principal responsibilities
· Support Retail Banking and Wealth Management Global Standards Programme work in relation to Customer Due Diligence, Financial Crime Compliance and Financial Intelligence Programme, including working with Retail Banking and Wealth Management Customer Value Management Information Management team regarding existing customer data base to identify immediate risk mitigation opportunities.
· Develop a detailed understanding of HSBC policies, guidelines and the HSBC Global Standards Programme, affecting the Retail Banking and Wealth Management business especially in the area of enhanced Customer Due Diligence and Know Your Customer processes as per regulatory requirements.
· Support Transaction Monitoring and Sanctions Screening Lead on reporting to Project Management Officer and Regional Global Standards Lead against programme scope, programme plans and cross programme dependencies for Retail Banking and Wealth Management.
· Input into communication and training materials spanning internal and external stakeholders ensuring they are fit for purpose.
· Work closely with and garner support from key stakeholders and support function groups to deliver the Global Standard initiatives.
· Active lead and participation in project meetings with stakeholders.
· Ensure Global Standards programme adhere to regulatory requirements, Group policies and standards and minimise general risk to the Group.

Desired profile

Requirements
·  Experience in conducting customer due diligence and know your clients
·  Familiar with anti money laundering typologies and risk associated with Retail Banking and Wealth Management
·  Strong business understanding of Retail Banking and Wealth Management objectives and operating model as well as Group policies and standards.
·  Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines and be change oriented.
·  Excellent written communication skills, in clearly documenting current state and recommendations.
