We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President: Business Consulting - Wholesale

Principal Responsibilities

·  Own the technical requirements of Market Intelligence (MI) and insights, supporting the mapping of business requirements to system/technical requirements, and develop Market Intelligence (MI) solutions.
·  Engage with stakeholders, business analysts and system owners to understand and deliver business and technical requirements.
·  Manage end-to-end lifecycle of reporting and insights projects within key areas, working with Data and Analytics (D&A) to capture demand, secure data, develop prototypes, build pilots and launch solutions.
·  Recommend the appropriate systems and data sources aligning to trusted source framework, governance and architecture standards within Wholesale Data and Analytics (D&A).
·  Work with internal and external data sources to perform data analysis and data validation to fulfil requirements and check for data accuracy.
·  Craft data led solutions to solve short-, medium- and long-term strategic questions.
·  Continuously optimize existing Market Intelligence (MI) and insights products to maximize business value and efficiency for stakeholders.
·  Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices, report concerns or observations in terms of control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational risk impact.
·  Ensure adherence to best practice delivery standards across the tribe, with risks, issues and dependencies correctly defined and managed.

Requirements

·  Experience in gathering requirements and delivering analytics, Market Intelligence (MI), or Information Technology (IT) related projects in the financial or digital domains.
·  Familiar with technical Business Analyst (BA) artefacts e.g. functional/non-functional requirements, data lineage etc.
·  Familiar with Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, Microsoft Excel, and visualization tools e.g. Qlik, Tableau, Data Studio
·  Strong stakeholder management skills with experience of working with different stakeholders.
·  Experience in agile software development and tools such as JIRA, Confluence.
·  Problem-solving skills and proactively identify solutions to address various issues.
·  Project management skills and ensuring projects are delivered in a timely manner.
·  Attention to detail and ability to work with large amount of information to meet business objectives.
·  Demonstrated experience in process and analysis of large amount of data using one of these: Python, R, Structured Query Language (SQL), or Statistical Analysis System (SAS); on environments such as Google Cloud or Hadoop.
·  Relevant Project Management or Agile Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master etc.
