We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President – Business Consulting - Wholesale
Principal Responsibilities
· Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
· Adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
· Implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer, or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules, and codes with which the business must comply.
· Adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also, and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.
· Work directly with various stakeholders across multiple geographies, such as technical discipline leads, data scientists, data engineers and data analysts to produce accurate delivery estimates and manage the transition from analysis to successful delivery.
· Ensure risks and issues are identified, managed closely, and remove project blockers from the team.
· Provide analytical support to Delivery programs covering Operational Insights, Risks mitigation, Cost management techniques etc.
Requirements
· Master’s degree from reputed university in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other quantitative fields
· Experience in managing significant data volume with in-depth knowledge of relational database management along with Consulting experience in the data analytics domain.
· Excellent Project Management skill is required.
· Thorough knowledge in Structured Query Language (SQL) and Python must. Having knowledge/experience in Pyspark would be preferred. Knowledge of Statistical Analysis System (SAS is a plus.
· Knowledge of Big Data is required.
· Knowledge in Google Cloud Platform or any On-Premises and corresponding tooling solutions would be preferred
· Advanced capability in translating complex and/or technical work and insights into straightforward business language.
· Proven problem-solving skills with ability to consider alternative and innovative solutions
