In this role, you will:
 
The jobholder is responsible for the design and development of major local systems and local flagship projects. He/she shouldprovide first line coaching and technical support to the Senior Development Officers and Development Officers in understanding a concept or solving a technical problem. This includes both the development of new functions and facilities and the on-goingsystems support of live systems. The jobholder also acts as a mentor who provides guidance to junior development staff in the team. He/she has to ensure that systems delivered would meet business requirements and are delivered to an agreed level of quality. He/she implements work practices, standards and quality monitoring in IT, during development, implementation and daily use.

Desired profile

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
 
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with major in Computer Science or related field.
- Qualification in related business discipline is an advantage.
- Proven technical expertise in an IT development role;
- Demonstrated ability in required programming language(s);
- Knowledge of CASE (Computer-Aided Software Engineering) tools, structured programming techniques, analysis, group standards and system methodologies
- Have good knowledge of the project lifecycle;
- A strong level of technical expertise;
- Strong commercial orientation, appreciating the business usage of systems developed
