Global Service Delivery

Within HSBC Operations, Services and Technology, Global Service Delivery is a leader in the development of services and processes that are designed around the customer and enable the firm to demonstrate to regulators that its processes and ways of working will deliver consistently high standards of compliance. Every day, customers all over the world are paying bills, buying homes and setting up companies and every day, Global Service Delivery teams are making sure all this happens smoothly.

Role Purpose

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. In this role, you will:

Impact on the Business/Function

• Review the alerts generated by HSBC Group application and ensure the anomalous activities are reported to Level 2 in accordance with regulatory requirements where appropriate.

•Build on the knowledge of latest Anti Money laundering trends by utilizing the CL resources

• Instructions / requests are correctly interpreted and fully undertaken.

•Common fraud / errors / irregular customer requests are identified and escalated in accordance with procedures in a timely manner.

•Adhere to the process requirements in accordance with established procedures and set standards.

•Complete assigned tasks independently in the established timeframe as per the process benchmarks.

•Achieve the levels of productivity and quality as per the standards, agreed for the process.

•All data requirements (timesheets and process information) is accurately updated in a timely manner.

•Collection of the necessary transaction background information / source documents for analysis.

•By adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department through Line management about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity.

•Issues / problems are effectively investigated and resolved or are appropriately referred with recommendations to the Line Manager.

Customers / Stakeholders

•Demonstrate knowledge of features, benefits and procedures and take initiative to review daily process updates for defect free implementation.

•Demonstrate ways to improve customer service and increase productivity.

•Timely referral to the respective Relationship Manager's / Business Partners for queries is made appropriately.

•Provide accurate and valid referrals to the respective Level 2.

Leadership & Teamwork

•Acquire and share best practices relating to procedures / latest Anti Money Laundering trends to relevant processes / contingent sites & been updated on CL updates

•The staff needs to share his opinions / experiences on cases with the team so as to impart a better insight for reasoned judgment.

•Support projects on increasing awareness of Anti Money Laundering across the section.

•Work with the team to achieve completion of AML transaction report within agreed timelines.

•Diligently Supporting new Project Role-outs of FCC by acquiring necessary knowledge through trainings provided, to cater to the expected standards.

•Proactively highlighting any system / procedure gaps to line manager attention and support and work on resolution of the identified gaps.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

•Take necessary actions to mitigate the likelihood of any operational risk occurring.

•Address any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.

•Continuously assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking in account the changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings and the impact of new technology.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Knowledge
·  Preferably from the Commerce or Finance background (Bachelor's degree)
·  Knowledge of various Banking Products (Eg. Savings Bank Account, Current Accounts, Business Account etc)
·  AML Compliance awareness relating to Money Laundering, Crime and Terrorism.
·  General understanding of Financial Products and Markets.
·  Good understanding of Internet and its usage
·  Political, Social and Economic knowledge of countries that are major players in the global economy
Skills
·  Ability to speak and understand English fluently (High Voice).
·  Ability to write business letters and reports (High Written)
·  Strong decision making and analytical skills
·  Ability to understand and interpret numeric data.
