Analyst – Leveraged & Acquisition Finance

Job description

Work within HSBC's Global Banking coverage team to assist in the origination and execution of ‘event-driven' transactions. Perform detailed sector and company research. Develop company valuations and create/analyze financial models. Conduct financing, comparative and pro forma analyses. Interact with clients and various levels of management; act as an integral part of the engagement team. Prepare new business presentations. Draft memoranda related to marketing and execution. Conduct fundamental industry research and quantitative analyses, and attend client presentations as required. Act as a resource for the wider LAF team as directed by Head of LAF/Global Sector Teams. Undertake all required activities as directed by line manager or as agreed in annual objectives in support of the furthermost of the Global Banking business.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree Finance, Mathematics or Engineering or related field plus one (1) year of Investment Banking or Finance Industry experience. Experience to include: debt products; analyzing credit documents, prospectus and other debt agreement; Experience with quantitative skills including: Financial Modelling, Valuations, and Bond Pricing; Experience in financial markets; Experience in developing marketing materials (pitch books), including research; Experience with databases including Bloomberg and Xtract Research. Must have or be willing to obtain FINRA Licenses S79, S63.
