We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Analyst, Global Banking.

Being Global Relationship Banker for a number of Banking clients, as well as supporting more senior, experienced, Global Relationship Bankers/Senior Coverage Bankers on a defined portfolio of Banking clients;

The client base will be predominantly composed of Malaysian Large Corporates, however there will be some limited overlap into the Government Linked Corporate team which should enable the successful candidate to develop, and refine, core relationship management skills over time through working with a diverse portfolio, and a number of more senior colleagues, as well as product areas;

The role will comprise of providing support in deepening client relationships and improving income generation through focused business development activities, including over time becoming the principal point of contact with clients for flow products (e.g. FX, PCM, Trade Finance).

Acting as the principal point of contact internally for most flow transactional banking elements with the client base, and working closely with relationship and product teams across the world to broaden ancillary revenue streams.;

Acting as principal point of contact internally with the Risk Analysis Unit and support teams for the designated client base. ;
·
Be able to step in to lead the relationship as cover whenever the GRB is away.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
The successful applicant will have:
· Understanding of risk management and credit mitigants;
· Ability to undertake in depth review of industry, competitors, client and products and provide a high quality analysis of credit risk.
· Strong analytical skills;
· Strong financial analysis capability, accounting or finance degree preferred;
· Knowledge of regulatory framework and Basel III accord;
· Knowledge of KYC procedures and requirements;
· Ability to develop good working partnerships with credit and product areas;
· Business development skills;
· Ability to initiate marketing activity, and support the marketing activity of others;
· Ability to establish rapport with appropriate members of client's management team;
· Strong IT skills (including Excel, Powerpoint etc);
· Ability to research and develop themes for business meetings;
· Knowledge of the full spectrum of Global Banking & Markets products and services;
· Knowledge of HSBC Group organisation structures, credit and reporting systems;
· Good verbal and written communication skills;
· A team player;
