Derivates Operations Analyst

Role Purpose:

This role is strategically important due to the importance on fulfilling regulatory reports on time/quality and manage risk controls impacted by the increment of existing product on GM and new ones that are planning to implement, accordingly with risk appetite of business.

To provide an efficient and organized work form in the Derivative Operations Team by developing personal and professional skills, gaining proactivity and growing in an excellent support area.

Principal Accountabilities:

Support all Back Office over-the-counter and Clearing Derivatives products: Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, Forward Rate Agreements, Interest Rate Options (Caps / Floors, Swaptions), FX Options, Structured Notes, Futures, Collateral Management and exotic trades.

Ensure accuracy of trade capture, timely execution for settlements and trade lifecycle events

·
Booking verification, new trades pre match confirmation, confirmation, rate resets, settlements, payments conciliation.

Prepare all the regulatory reports required by the authorities.

·
Collateral Management

·
Participate in process improvement initiatives and system development & enhancements.

·
Ability to support Cross Border Transactions

·
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

·
Effectively manage operational risks

·
Comply with Local Regulations.

·
Maintain the HSBC Group FIM standards and ensure satisfactory or above audit ratings are achieved

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Skills:

Business or Economics degree.

Good level of Financial Math skills

English skills 85% (Oral & Written)

Understanding of operational risk and controls

MS Office Proficiency is a plus

Experience in Derivative Operations is a plus.

Product Knowledge

Accounting knowledge.

Derivatives process end to end.
