As User Experience (UX) Design Intern (Placement Student) you will be part of a global organization, working alongside our User Experience leads in producing deliverables for a number of products in the HP Autonomy product portfolio.  You will liaise on a daily basis with a geographically disperse team of talented Software Engineers and Product Managers and will have an opportunity to make a direct contribution to the success of our products.
You will have a logical mind, be passionate about design and show great attention to detail skills.  You will also have an insatiable appetite for learning and be willing to grow with our team.  You will thrive on creating user-centric experiences that are simple yet delightful.  You will be able to operate in a fast-paced and technically driven environment but will always be mindful of the end user and their requirements.

Key Responsibilities
·         Work closely with an immediate team of User Experience Designers, Software Engineers and Product Managers.
·         Solve design problems in a way that creates a world-class user experience.
·         Visually document solutions to design problems through the creation of wireframes and rapid prototyping.
·         Create visual assets to support the solution to design problems.
·         Contribute to the maintenance and development of design standards and guidelines.
·         Understand browser and platform constraints as they affect the design of web-based and mobile applications.
·         Provide guidance on how best to implement design concepts and solutions through an iterative design process.

Desired profile

Skills and Experience
 

·         You are currently studying towards a degree in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, or related field.
·         You have excellent communications and collaboration skills, with remote teams and in person with local teams.
·         You have an obvious passion for responsive design, mobile applications and social platforms.
·         You have a design portfolio that speaks for itself.
·         You have experience of Persona definition, Sketching and Wireframing.
·         You have experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
·         You have experience of design patterns and their role in problem solving.
·         You have experience creating rapid prototypes using HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
