Job description

Responsibilities
& Activities:
·        
Project
execution quality definition/improvement :
Ø 
Follow
up with Project Services Leaders to meet and surpass the SLA and Customer
Satisfaction goals outlined by the Project Services Leadership.
Ø 
Follow
expectations for quality services and processes set out by the Project Services
Leadership.
Ø 
Escalate
any immediate, delivery irregularities or issues to the Project Services
Leadership and Delivery Managers.

Communications
and Reporting :
Ø 
Ensures
that all project activities are updated and tracked in designated IT tools and
workflows.
Ø 
Ensures
that all effort/time writing in build activities are tracked accordingly in
designated IT tools and workflows.
·        
Liaises
with Onshore team/Virtual team as appropriate.
·        
Provides
technical support and input on the application of technology to business
requirements.
·        
Communicates
across client community, and is viewed as adding value. Demonstrates execution
of the HP strategy.
·        
Contributes
to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learning's are
documented and shared.
·        
Apply
technical knowledge to operate a technology area (e.g. server administration)
or customer group with moderate risk/complexity. Integrate technical knowledge
and business understanding to create superior solutions for HP and for
customers.
·        
Escalation
Management: identify potential escalations and alert management proactively.
·        
Change
Management/Implementation: Independently review, implement, and verify
changes/solutions of moderate complexity and risk to meet customer
infrastructure needs within area(s) of technical responsibility.
·        
Patch
and Security Management: Apply patch and security changes per policy.
Proactively monitor the environment for patch compliance.
·        
Configuration
Management: Ensure Configuration Management Database (CMDB) entries are
complete and accurate.
·        
Solution
Design: Apply HP solutions to meet moderately complex customer infrastructure
needs within area(s) of technical responsibility.
·        
Quality:
Provide continual improvement recommendations/direction setting advice within
work team.
·        
Project
Management: Participate in customer and internal projects, including
transformation. Lead projects from own responsibility area.
·        
Customer
Relationship Management: Balance internal needs with customers and/or internal
businesses/end user’s needs within defined parameters.
·        
Teamwork:
Work as part of a team, which may be virtual, global, and/or multi-functional.
Seen as a resource to the team within area of technical responsibility.

Desired profile

Profile:
·        
Degree
in any IT discipline or Diploma in any IT discipline with at least 4-5 years of
working experience
·        
Good
administration knowledge in Redhat Enterprise Server, SLES, Oracle Solaris,
HPUX and/or AIX (certified in these areas are added advantage)
·        
Knowledge
of Oracle and/or SQL database technology (added advantage)
·        
Knowledge
of Storage and/or Backup is welcome
·        
Service
oriented with good communication skills
·        
General
IT landscape overview
·        
Good
knowledge in ITIL management lifecycle
·        
Ability
of working on shifts and standby
·        
Creative
problem solving skills
·        
Fluent
in spoken and written English
·        
At
least 4 years working experience in Linux/Unix area.
 
Certification:
·        
Certified
Redhat/SLES/Solaris/HPUX and/or AIX are highly recommended
·        
Certified
in other technologies like VMware/Oracle/Storage/Backup or/and Network are
added advantage
