Technical Regulations & Standards Engineer

Job description

Position
Ensure product conforms to regulations with safe & legal compliance.
Deliver fast, accurate, and on-time certification and registration with cost efficiency.
Track and manage all EMC/Safety/telecom/ requirement/activity for multiple projects
- ensure that new product certification approvals are on schedule with introduction timeline.
Build and maintain effective interface with both Hewlett Packard internal groups (product generation organizations and country business team) as well as authorities/agencies.
Engage with authorities to get the 1st hand regulations and requirements with clear interpretation to Hewlett Packard product compliance.
Provide unambiguous regulatory requirements to Hewlett Packard business, R&D, supply chain, and manufacturing.
Work closely with HP compliance group to follow up/manage the agency regulation dynamics (such as regulations, requirements, lead-time and cost changes, as well as regional specific issues.). Review/track on agency costs.
Support engagement with government authorities to influence on product regulations practice with Hewlett Packard ’s best interests.
Requirements
Fluency in spoken and written English and Indonesian languages.
Product certification experience including regulatory requirements with understanding of EMC/Safety/Telecom standards and testing.
Familiar with PC related high-paced technologies
Good organizational and project management skills.
Strong people skills: able to create and maintain relationship and connection with remote-located colleagues, associates and authority personnel of other-nationalities and across multiple time zones.

Desired profile

Degree Electrical, Electronic, Quality or related science discipline or relevant Product Certification experience
Project management qualification would be a plus
