Responsibilities
& Activities
Infrastructure
implementation (eg: server build/Storage Setup) according to process outline
(defined as a cookbook) provided by the Engineering team within agreed
timelines according to projects. When issues or uncertainties arise, raise this
to next level for advice.
Perform
work according to agreed quality standards. Where applicable, provide completed
quality checklists upon completion of tasks.
Migration
& Decommission: Planning, tracking, communication and administration of
migration & decommission activitiesTo
plan and coordinate the delivery of required project tasks for assigned
projects. This includes the following activities: hardware installation, server
build, server acceptance, server finalization, service migration, and server
decommissioning.
To
co-ordinate resolution of issues resulting from migration activities. To
provide feedback and inputs for improving quality and delivery of projects.
Where applicable, to complete assigned improvement tasks.
Perform
pre-decommissioning tasks to prepare a server for decommissioningPerform
OS-level decommissioning (servers and storages)Tools
and Application installationInitiate
Change ticket and implement with 4-eyes approach. Mandatory to compliance with
 
Change
Management process
Involve
in Problem Management, when requiredProvide
post project reports to Manager upon project completionProvide
timely communication of respective task status updates to Project Manager

Profile Certification
: Good to have (at least one)Certification
in Windows platform & services (eg: Windows 2008, 2012, Active Directory)Certification
in Enterprise Storage Products (eg: HP EVA, HP 3PAR)Certification
in Enterprise Backup Products (eg: HP Data Protector, Symentec Netbackup)Certification
in ITIL Intermediate (eg: Version 2, Version 3) QualificationBachelor's
Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalentMinimum
of 3-5 years’ experience within IT Operations, infrastructure services support,
operations monitoring or end user supportMinimum
of 3 years in-depth technical knowledge of either one of the applicable
technology area: Wintel, Messaging, Active Directory, Storage & Backup. Core
CompetencyMinimum
of 3-5 years’ in administration of Windows 2003, Windows 2008 and good to have
Windows 2012Minimum
of 3-5 years’ experience within IT Operations, infrastructure services support,
operations monitoring or end user supportMinimum
of 3 years’ experience involved in Project Implementations, Project
