Job description

Project Management
As a Project Management Apprentice you will be exposed to all aspects of the Project Management lifecycle and process groups supporting HP’s clients within the public and commercial sectors. Our 24 month program offers you the opportunity to gain experience in various areas of Project Management. Working within a Project Management office, you will gain skills in risk management, scheduling,  cost management, communications, and more.
 
Our Project Management Apprenticeship offers you the chance to grow your skills and experience whilst working alongside some of the most talented people in HP.
 
It all begins with an on-boarding course where you will get to grips with our business and how you fit in. You’ll attend workshops and undergo intensive professional and Project Management training in order to prepare you for your new role. Then it’s a two week bootcamp in the classroom with our training provider where you will start to gain the knowledge you will need to be successful in your role.  Straight away, you'll be working with people who are experts in their field. As a valued part of the team, we’ll expect you to give your insight and opinion, and make a real contribution to our business.
 
Throughout this scheme, your training and development won’t stop. You’ll attend sessions designed to hone your soft skills, and you’ll have the support of your line manager, an assigned mentor and a buddy. Through ongoing appraisals and feedback processes, you’ll drive your career.

Desired profile

Applicant Requirements
2015 Apprenticeship Intake
We’re looking for candidates who have 7 GCSEs (A*-C) including English and Maths. Also candidates must have a strong interest in a career in IT. Ideally candidates will have formal or informal experience of programming and studied ICT / Computer Science at A-Level or equivalent.
 
In addition we expect candidates to have good attention to detail as well as being enthusiast, willing to learn, and have a passion for IT.
