The Big Data Business group within HP Software is a global leader in enterprise and cloud-based enterprise-class analytics solutions. Our innovative solutions help organizations analyze and drawn actionable insight from 100% of their data regardless of format, location or type. This includes diverse forms including text, social media, audio, machine and sensor data and even streaming video.
We are seeking an individual who can thrive in HP Big Data’s high-energy, fast-paced, and dynamic organization. As a Product Marketing Manager within HP Software’s $5B division, this person will play a key role in developing and driving a compelling go-to-market strategy for the innovative HP Haven Big Data solutions portfolio of enterprise, API-based, cloud, IOT and Hadoop Open Source solutions that deliver bleeding edge analytics – from high performance SQL analytics to text search to face detection – on any device all delivered via the cloud. This portfolio also includes HP’s newly introduced family of HP Rapid Deployment Solutions (RDS) that address specific industry applications such as Voice-of-the-Customer, Healthcare Patient Analytics, Smarter Cities and Financial Fraud Detection. We are seeking a high energy, entrepreneurial individual that can lead the marketing around one of HP’s most strategic initiatives that has visibility up to the CEO. We are looking for a go-getter that is up to the challenge of making a high impact driving all facets of an initiatives that will reach and attract the world’s leading developers, technologists and information technology managers.
This position will work closely with our global product, sales, channel, communication, and campaigns teams to deliver sharp, compelling, and differentiated positioning, messaging, promotions, and collaterals to drive awareness, build pipeline, and grow the business. We are looking for a highly creative and energetic individual who takes extreme pride in his work. This person must have strong communication and marketing skills and be able to articulate and evangelize our HP Haven OnDemand & Enterprise Big Data vision and offering to developers, partners, prospects and customers through various channels including digital and in-person events. The role will report to the Vice President of Marketing for Big Data Platform Business Group.

Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the Big Data software market space, products and service offerings, including overall value proposition, features, functionality, competitive landscape, routes-to-market and future product direction.
· Drive market segmentation and analysis, understand target segments and needs, identify and champion necessary market research, identify emerging market segments, and prepare market and solution forecasts.
· Create product and solution-related content including unique value propositions, features / benefits and competitive differentiation for collateral, white papers, sales tools, web, lead generation programs, etc.
· Develop tools and training to support the full sales cycle. This includes product demonstrations, sales training (technical and value proposition), and technical content, as well as delivering competitive intelligence to the field and marketing organizations.
· Deliver key messages that enable our marketing execution team and agencies to execute relevant campaigns and programs.
· Help drive out-of-the box grassroots developer events, marketing and technical conference initiatives as well as account-based marketing initiatives
· Analyze and report on success and effectiveness of marketing efforts and developer outreach
· Collaborate on plans and build support content for demand generation programs that result in pipeline for the sales organization.
Desired profile
Qualifications
· 5 years of experience in Product Marketing or Product Management in the high-technology industry, preferably in an enterprise-oriented software company. Ideally bringing to market technology and solutions targeted at software developers. Self-starter who can thrive in a fast paced start-up-like environment is a plus.
· Stellar marketer and quick learner with a proven track record in product marketing with the enterprise software and software-as-a-service industry segment and/or marketing and selling enterprise class-solutions to an IT line management and CIO audience.
· A background in either enterprise middleware, cloud, PaaS, Open Source, mobile and/or business applications software marketing is preferred.
· Possess a high level of personal drive, passion, energy and strong desire to compete and win.
· Results Driven – Rigorously holding oneself and others accountable for achieving high levels of individual and organizational performance
· Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including preparation and delivery of presentations. Must be able to write and edit at an expert level.
· Technical competence – ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, clear and compelling language.
· Demonstrated skills in managing multiple projects, coordinating across multiple disciplines and teams, delivering successfully to challenging deadlines, adapting with flexibility and a positive attitude to changing requirements and executing with quality and creativity.
· A team player with strong interpersonal and team skills and the ability to interact with customers, partners and foster cross-functional teamwork among sales, marketing, and product teams.
· Bachelor's degree is required. MBA a plus.
