Record Label Intern Needed

Job description

Opportunity to gain hands on experience working at an independent record label, operating out of a well-known music venue in Brixton.

Duties Include:
Listening to music (of course!)
Updating social media
Event planning
Sorting music merchandise
Postal Runs
Compiling press lists
Meeting and dealing with artists
Researching artists
Helping to compile strategies

Desired profile

-You'll need to a be a sociable, outgoing person
-Good command over the English language needed
-Knowledge of social media platforms and how to use them. ie Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, SnapChat
-A good knowledge of music across many genres needed ie. Blues, Grime, Electro, Rock ' Roll, Drum'n'Bass
-Basic graphic design knowledge would be an extra bonus

This is a non-paid flexible internship, but you will get a very hands on insight into the music industry and how it exists in challenging times. You will not be needed for more than 6-10 hours per week. You'll be in a fun working environment with creative people, in a building dedicated to making things happen. You'll meet some interesting characters.
