Hiscox are looking for Sales Advisors to join the team in York City centre. Searching for sale minded people with a desire to deliver exceptional customer service. An impeccable telephone manner, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to assimilate significant amounts of information and match it against customer needs.
If you are a proactive, team player with the skills and determination to move the business forward, then this opportunity for a Sales Advisor would be the perfect fit. The role is full time and the basic salary is £18,000 p.a. and you will also receive benefits including a bonus, healthcare scheme, sharesave plan and gym membership.
The role
As a Sales Advisor, you will be dealing directly with business customers from a wide range of industries and professions, every contact will be different and offer different opportunities. Many of our customers will be at the setting up a new company, whilst others may be expanding – it can be a little daunting but it is an incredibly exciting time for them.
You will engage with customers and provide specialist insurance tailored to suit the individual business’s needs. You will be given superb training and then empowered to make decisions in the best interest of our customers. You will demonstrate knowledge, understanding and the ability to engage with our customers to promote our range of market leading products.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Creating rapport and building relationships to identify the opportunity
• Delivering exceptional service to customers through intelligent selling by matching customer needs to our relevant products and services
• Intelligent cross-selling and up-selling ensuring our customers are aware of our range of products and services
• Using appropriate techniques to ask for and close sales opportunities in line with Hiscox brand and values
• Ensuring that queries are resolved at first point of contact wherever possible
• Target driven in relation to sales and conversion but not at the expense of quality
