Job description
A Travel Trade & Groups Account Manager analyses local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.
What will I be doing?
As Travel Trade & Groups Account Manager, you will analyse local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Prospect, qualify, and develop new Leisure accounts in accordance with the objectives and goals stated in the Hotel Business Plan also further developing relationships with existing partners
· Conduct site inspections with clients as well as coordinating FAM tours with various visitor.
· Prospect, qualify, and develop new Leisure accounts in accordance with the objectives and goals stated in the Hotel Business Plan as well as further developing relationships with existing partners
· Draft of annual wholesale agreement including any revisions stemming from discussions with the Commercial Manager
· Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business for the hotel(s)
· Making at least 15 sales calls in a week mainly in Istanbul, if necessary in other cities
· Making at least 4 entertainments in a week
· Building up Account Development Plans and steal 5 Key Accounts from the competitor hotels in a year.
· Finding at least 2 new accounts in a month
· Selling and promoting the F&B outlets, carpark, Health Club and Laundry to the clients (Total account Management)
· Updating the clients for the new products and developments
· Being aware of the budget, forecasts and objectives of hotel and plan and execute their sales processes and reach the objectives.
· Developing new ideas and tactics to increase the sales performance of the team
· Assisting the reservation office to confirm the individual reservation requests
· Updating Delphi with the necessary info (i.e. guest, account profile).
· Providing weekly activity reports to the management.
· Following up the production reports for the accounts and developing action plans for the account to reach the goal and the objectives of the department.
· Preparing project reports, assigned by the management.
· Lead negotiations with travel partners in assigned market sources to achieve maximum revenue potential for the hotel while satisfying clients’ needs
· Work with various departments to ensure requested services are provided to customers.
· Following up city events reports to be aware of the happenings in the city.
