As Senior Cluster Revenue Manager your primary purpose is to monitor group and transient business thresholds within the forecast to ensure measurable improvements for demand and availability. Supply critical analysis on the effect of short-range decisions effecting occupancy, average rate and rooms profit goals. Analysis of city events and activities and to project the effect of opportunities they create. Monitor competitive analysis. It's a challenging but fun position within the commercial team.


This Senior Revenue Manager will work for the portfolio of TVHG. On top of that you will replace the Director of Revenue, also responsible for Booking Office when absent and you will be part of training and development of the team.


TVHG operates 11 hotels in the Netherlands. The 11 hotels are spread across the Netherlands, seven hotels in and around Amsterdam and 4 hotels in key regional centres in Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Arnhem. All hotels are supported by a central support office which is located at Amsterdam Sloterdijk. The support office supports the hotels with HR, Finance, Revenue & Sales and Operations services.

Your tasks and responsibilities consist of:

·     Prepare all Weekly, Monthly, Rolling Forecasts and Annual Budget using the various systems.

·     Deliver and execute the yearly business plans for the hotels.

·     Monitoring data: to determine the pricing strategy to conduct and report internal price proposals based on results and financial market developments.

·     In collaboration with other members of the (sales) team adjust expansion strategies and actions to achieve the best possible results.

·     Determination of the market; monitoring of information/data about competitors, events, market trends and react to them.

·     Monitoring of (cancelled/optional) bookings in the system utilization, prices and react to it.

·     Doing research to the Revenue Management of key/major competitors.

·     Ensure that all available distribution channels have the right content, availability and prices.

·     Providing information into the organization and general managers; delivering reports, ad-hoc information requests, reports, answering question etcetera

·     Active participation during the commercial meeting in Support Office on executive strategy level.

·     Training and supporting the Revenue team to work with different systems.

·     Ability to deliver presentations in a concise, well-organized manner.

·     Daily review and implementation of room accommodation and rate inventory controls in the various systems.

·     Ensure control on “reservations made yesterday” to ensure a clean system.

·     Conduct a weekly Revenue Management Meeting where the appropriate booking period is evaluated for proper rate and availability control. The Revenue Manager will provide a synopsis of results vs. decision from the previous week and lead discussion on future issues such as booking pace, pricing strategies, marketing opportunities and the competitive environment.

·     Management of the group demand calendar, ad-hoc group requests and preparation of displacement reports.

·     Drive conversion of groups together with the Booking Office.

·     Daily review of various reports: GRC, Backlog Report (monthly), Daily Transaction reports and Overrides report. Address concerns and action plans with the Cluster Director of Revenue.

·     Complete weekly booking pace reports and analysis on pace, recommending strategy changes when needed.

·     Analyse past and present trends and make recommendations for future strategies.





Work Experience

What makes you the perfect colleague?

-         Hotel Management school or additional education in revenue fields is a pre.

-         3+ years’ experience in Hotel Revenue Management.

-         Proficient in writing, speaking and negotiating in English/ Dutch.

-         Good communications skills in both verbal and written.

-         You have a natural drive and energy and show initiative by working independently.

-         Dares to make the call.

-         Knowledge of the hotel industry and the competitive market.

-         Strong ability to analyse data, prioritize and tasks.

-         Strong affinity with Meetings and Events.

-         Brand knowledge of Hilton

-         You have an affinity and are preferably familiar with the various commercial systems (PMS, RMS, Channel manager & Data tools)

-         Excellent computer skills.

-         A big team player, motivator and driver.
