Sales Intern

Job description
As an Sales Intern, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Support the Sales & Marketing Department by contributing to cross-functional projects, including:
·
Working with the Sales Managers on market research, development of the commercial offering, and prospecting activities.
·
Supporting the Marketing Manager with digital communication initiatives and promotional events for the hotel.
·
Support the Groups, Conferences & Events Department by:
·
Developing and maintaining a customer database.
·
Generating and developing sales leads and contacting potential clients to establish and develop business relationships.
·
Conducting local competitor and event benchmarking.
·
Creating and maintaining an events calendar to maximize business opportunities and revenue.
·
Work closely with the different departments involved in the smooth operation of Sales & Marketing activities, including Sales, Reservations, Front Office, and Food & Beverage.
·
Respond to client enquiries and provide administrative follow-up for events.
·
Assist with various administrative and coordination tasks to support the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Department.

· Previous experience in a hotel environment is an asset
· Strong team spirit and enjoyment of teamwork

· Methodical, accurate, well-organized, and rigorous
· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage schedules

· Ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively
· Good knowledge of IT tools
· Fluent in English and French; a third language such as German is a plus
