Job description
The iconic Waldorf Astoria property in New Orleans, The Roosevelt , is seeking an FT Preventative Maintenance to join the team!
The Preventive Maintenance Worker works closely with the Engineering Department to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all hotel equipment. This role is responsible for performing general maintenance tasks as assigned, assisting the engineering team, and supporting the overall upkeep of the property’s facilities.
What will I be doing?
As a Preventive Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Adhere to all staff rules, regulations, and directions from supervisors.
· Operate equipment carefully and follow safety procedures to ensure safe operations.
· Maintain the hotel’s daily power, water, gas, heating, and cooling systems.
· Inspect equipment and review shift handover records promptly and accurately.
· Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of equipment and facilities under your responsibility.
· Implement energy-saving measures and monitor energy consumption.
· Support banquet and meeting operations by ensuring all related equipment functions properly.
· Perform regular generator tests to ensure reliable power during outages.
· Assist in fire prevention efforts, including inspecting and supporting fire safety measures.
· Train and mentor junior technicians and apprentices, developing their skills and preparing them for advancement.
· Manage tools and track usage by team members.
· Recommend disciplinary action for assigned subordinates when necessary.
· Complete other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.
· Job responsibilities may be updated or modified by management at its discretion.
