Job Requirements

As Operations Manager and Deputy General Manager, you will play a key role in the operational and strategic leadership of the Wasserturm Hotel Cologne, Curio Collection by Hilton.

You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure exceptional guest experiences, smooth daily operations, and strong team engagement across all departments. This position combines hands-on operational leadership with strategic thinking and offers significant room for personal impact and development.

Located in one of Cologne’s most iconic historic buildings, the hotel combines luxury hospitality with unique architectural character and international brand standards.

Key responsibilities include:

·  Supporting and representing the General Manager in daily operations
·  Leading and coordinating operational departments
·  Driving guest satisfaction and service excellence
·  Developing and motivating department leaders and teams
·  Monitoring operational performance, quality standards, and costs
·  Supporting commercial and strategic hotel initiatives
·  Ensuring compliance with Hilton brand standards and procedures
·  Acting as a strong leadership presence throughout the hotel

Work Experience

Several years of leadership experience in hotel operations

Strong understanding of Rooms Division and overall hotel operations

Hands-on leadership style with excellent communication skills

Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences

Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a dynamic environment

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Commercial awareness and operational understanding

Experience with international hotel brands is an advantage

Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken

Professional appearance and confident leadership presence
