Maintenance Assistant

The DoubleTree by Hilton Christchurch is looking for an all-rounder Maintenance Assistant to join our small team looking after the iconic Chateau on the Park hotel.  The role is responsible for carrying out maintenance work promptly and always to the highest standard, delivering an excellent experience for both Guest and Team Members.

What will I be doing?

As a Maintenance Assistant, you are responsible for carrying out appropriate maintenance work promptly following all company compliance requirements during repairs. Specifically the role involves:

·  Respond to all enquiries promptly
·  Carry out maintenance repair work and ensure the appropriate PPE is worn during all repairs
·  Follow planned preventative maintenance programmes
·  Ensure good relationships with internal and external customers and contractors
·  Ensure energy conservation initiatives are followed
·  Attend additional training suitable to the role
