Job description

Waldorf Astoria  is looking for a Lead Bell/Door/Valet Person   to join the  Guest Services  Team at this gorgeous  Atlanta property!

Located in one of Atlanta's most prestigious neighborhoods, this Forbes 4-Star hotel is a 42-story tower with over 200 rooms ( 127 guest rooms plus residences ), over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 3 food and beverage outlets.  This includes the 3-meal restaurant, bar, and in-room dining.

·         Classification:  Full-Time

·         Shift: Various - must have full-availability to work (AM, PM, and Overnight) weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

·  Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
·  Able to multi-task and remain composed at all times.
·  Ability to work well in a team environment.
·  Professional appearance and demeanor.
·  Prior Bellperson experience within a luxury hotel setting preferred.
·  Additional languages are advantageous.
·  First Aid and CPR trained is a plus. 
·  Hotsos knowledge

What will I be doing?

As a Lead Bell/Valet/Door Person you would be responsible for supervising Bell, Valet, and Door Persons that are responsible for greeting guests, transporting vehicles, transferring and storing guest luggage, and responding to guest requests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

·  Greet and escort arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations
·  Retrieve and transport guest luggage
·  Inspect guest rooms and acquaint guests with these rooms and their features
·  Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
·  Organize and store luggage, as needed, according to guidelines
·  Supervise, monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
·  Recruit, interview and train team members
·  Ensure team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events
·  Assist in the maintenance, appearance and functionality of equipment
