Job description
An Income Auditor reviews, analyzes, and recommends improvements to the daily financial reports and process to improve accuracy and efficiency.
What will I be doing?
As Income Auditor, you will monitor all transactions as they contribute to or detract hotel revenue. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Ensure the accuracy of the Daily Revenue Report prepared by Night Audit.
· Verify and spot check D-Report and F&B Report and supporting documents prepared by Night Audit.
· Balance and code the previous day’s work and prepare a daily operating sales and labour summary.
· Review and analyse all adjustments.
· Audit banquet tickets to banquet orders.
· Ensure entertainment /employment cheques are signed and explained by HOD, and pass these on to the Assistant DOF for approval.
· Check the backups of rebates and pass these on for approval.
· Route rebates, miscellaneous charges, promotional tickets, and paid-outs.
· Reconcile all interfaces charges to OnQ PM.
· Check that all complimentary and house use rooms have been approved by the General Manager.
· Ensure that paymaster accounts and permanent folios are checked out on a timely basis.
· File and archive all documents according to taxing authority requirements.
· Spot check that room rates in OnQ PM are as per contract rates.
· Balance the credit card out-standings, reconciled by Night Audit, with the general ledger accounts.
· Check if all credit card queries are clarified and if necessary action is taken immediately.
· Handle all queries from guests relating to F&B or Rooms within one day.
· Verify that all voided guest cheques are explained and approved by the HOD.
· Prepare reconciliations.
· Reconcile various general ledger accounts at month end.
· Audit Guest’s safety deposit boxes in specific time frames.
· Complete appropriate Navision and OnQ trainings
· Must become the advanced user for the Navision/ OnQ PM.
· Attend external and internal training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
