Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is seeking a Human Resources Officer, to join the pre-opening team for this highly anticipated new luxury hotel opening later this year. 

  

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hospitality leader to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel. 

  

Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the world’s most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a collection of grand event spaces, including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

What will I be doing?  

As a Human Resources Officer, you will support and advise hotel leadership on policies, procedures, and people practices that foster an exceptional team‑member experience, strengthening engagement, performance, and organisational culture. 

 

In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to management while ensuring professional, confidential handling of employee relations and talent development. Your responsibilities will include performing the following to the highest standards of luxury hospitality: 

 

·       Provide expert guidance to Managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practice 

·       Support succession planning initiatives in partnership with senior leadership during the bi‑annual appraisal cycle 

·       Manage employee relations matters discreetly and professionally, including disciplinary, grievance, and capability processes 

·       Ensure absence monitoring is conducted consistently and in line with company guidelines 

·       Maintain accurate and compliant records across online personnel systems, payroll platforms, and monthly reporting 

·       Ensure recruitment and selection processes are fully adhered to, including completion of all required right‑to‑work and immigration checks 

·       Support the identification and coordination of departmental training and development requirements 

·       Ensure mandatory training completion relating to hotel security, fire safety, and health & safety legislation 

·       Assist in the planning and delivery of Team Member engagement and social initiatives 

·       Build relationships with local schools, colleges, and organisations to promote careers in hospitality 

·       Promote, communicate, and champion employee benefits and wellbeing initiatives 

·       Respond to Team Member and Management enquiries with professionalism, accuracy, and discretion 

 

 

What are we looking for?  

  

A Human Resources Officer within Hilton brands demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and a strong people‑centric approach, always acting in the best interests of both the Team Members and the business. To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate: 

 

·       Previous experience in a Human Resources Officer or comparable HR role 

·       A positive, professional, and approachable manner 

·       Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence managing sensitive situations 

·       A genuine commitment to delivering high‑quality internal and external service 

·       Impeccable grooming standards aligned with luxury brand expectations 

·       Flexibility to adapt to a variety of operational and business needs 

·       Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure 

·       Capability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team 

 

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: 

·       CIPD qualification (or working towards) or equivalent professional certification 

·       Experience within the luxury hospitality or luxury service sector 

·       Sound knowledge of employment legislation and employee relations best practice 

·       Strong IT proficiency, including HR systems and reporting tools
