Job description

The Human Resources Manager at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre is responsible for overseeing the efficient administration of the Human Resources department. This includes leading recruitment function, managing payroll, administering compensation and benefits, ensuring consistent implementation of HR policies and procedures, and overseeing employee relations, engagement programs, and performance management. The role is crucial in providing departments with the professional HR support necessary to achieve their departmental objectives while ensuring an exceptional experience for all Team Members. The HR Manager is also accountable for fostering a proactive HR culture that aligns with the hotel’s business objectives.


What will I be doing?

As a Human Resources Manager at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre, you are responsible for providing first-class employee relations services to the hotel to deliver an excellent staff experience. A Human Resources Manager will also be required to manage succession planning and assist the HR Director with strategy. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Human Resources to oversee and manage the overall administration of the HR department.
  • Oversee the recruitment process with a strong focus on diversity and inclusion KPIs, while taking the lead on hiring for leadership positions.
  • Manage the entire payroll process and monitor attendance within the HR system.
  • Assist in leading the HR functions relating to HR budget, manning, employee relations and benefits, performance management and other related HR functions.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and compliance with applicable legislation, including DIFC labor laws.
  • Manage the exit process for departing Team Members, including clearances, final settlements, and facilitating smooth repatriation.
  • Handle disciplinary actions and conduct investigations as needed, ensuring thorough and fair processes.
  • Lead the DEWS process (DIFC Employee Workplace Savings) which is a progressive end-of-service benefits plan while ensuring timely monthly contribution uploads and compliance with deadlines.
  • Drive the ‘Welcome Aboard’ program with the team and lead the HR orientation for new joiners.
  • Managing the performance management process aligning it with the promotion and succession planning.
  • Overseeing and leading the Team Members’ accommodation.
  • Overseeing the Team Members’ accommodation and HR services including team restaurant, transport service, heart of the house audit and various committees.
  • Working closely with the department heads with a collaborative approach on their manning requests, Team Member’s challenges and other department-specific requirements.
  • Champion Emiratisation initiatives by maintaining relationships with local schools, government institutions, and participating in career fairs.
  • Lead the engagement programs at the hotel, focusing on team benefits, engagement initiatives, and recognition practices.
  • Drive HR social media channels as part of employer branding plan.
  • Promote a positive work culture, ensuring compliance with policies while fostering an environment where team members feel respected, valued, and recognized.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to the Director of Human Resources as needed.
