Gardener Supervisor

Job description

What will I be doing?
As a Gardener Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the landscaping and gardening team to ensure the property’s outdoor areas, gardens, and greenery are well maintained, safe, and visually appealing. The role requires hands-on supervision, planning, and coordination of all gardening activities in line with the property’s sustainability and aesthetic standards.

Supervise, schedule, and support the gardening team to ensure efficient use of manpower and resources.

Maintain the overall appearance of all landscaped areas, lawns, flowerbeds, trees, and plants.

· 
Monitor the health of all plants and green spaces, taking corrective action for pests, diseases, or environmental issues.

· 
Oversee irrigation systems, ensuring they function properly and efficiently.

· 
Manage plant propagation, trimming, pruning, fertilizing, and replanting schedules.

· 
Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of all gardening tools, equipment, and materials.

· 
Maintain an inventory of supplies and request replenishments when necessary.

· 
Work closely with the Engineering and Housekeeping teams to ensure external areas align with overall property standards.

· 
Train and guide gardeners on safety procedures, work quality, and horticultural best practices.

· 
Participate in landscape improvement projects and sustainability initiatives.

· 
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety standards.

·  Previous experience in a similar role

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in landscaping or gardening, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and pest management.

· 
Strong organizational and leadership skills.

· 
Ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions.

· 
Teamwork abilities.

· 
Basic knowledge of English (spoken and written).
