What will I be doing?
As Food & Beverage Coordinator for Waldorf Astoria Maldives will be responsible for all administrative duties in a professional and courteous manner in assisting the Director/ Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to develop maintain or improve communication for incoming and outgoing information, to professionally operate the Food & Beverage Division. As Food & Beverage Coordinator, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Adhere to performance standards outlined in the Departmental Operations Manual for efficient department operations.
· Implement and maintain a systematic filing system for all food & beverage records.
· Keep detailed staff records, including contact information, vacation plans, and public holiday balances.
· Collaborate with colleagues on operational matters as needed.
· Attend and document regular meetings, including department meeting minutes.
· Review daily tasks and follow up with the Director/Assistant Director of Food & Beverage.
· Handle confidential material with professionalism and maintain discretion.
· Establish effective communication within the Food & Beverage Department and with other departments.
· Manage office supplies, including equipment, forms, and stationery for department use.
· Maintain a guest-focused approach, addressing needs proactively and promptly.
· Take personal responsibility for resolving issues and communicate clearly with both guests and colleagues.
· Show motivation and commitment, taking every opportunity to learn new skills and improve performance.
· Be adaptable, responding quickly and positively to changing tasks and requirements.
· Foster teamwork by supporting colleagues in achieving team goals.
· Suggest ideas to improve operational and environmental procedures in the resort.
· Actively promote Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi services and facilities to guests and suppliers.
· Ensure personal safety and the safety of others by adhering to workplace safety standards.
· Demonstrate and uphold Waldorf Astoria Brand Standards and True Waldorf Service.
· Maintain high standards of personal appearance and hygiene, following grooming guidelines.
· Participate in training and development programs to enhance both personal and departmental performance
What are we looking for?
A Food & Beverage Coordinator serving Waldorf Astoria Malidves is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
· Diploma or higher-level qualification from hotel school or equivalent.
· 3 to 5 years of experience in Food & Beverage, Sales, Marketing, Guest Services, or related professional area.
· Strong functional skills and ability to operate and successfully arbitrate in a complex international and multicultural environment.
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Good planning and execution skills with ability to be persistent while focusing on detailed elements of tasks.
· Excellent time management, organizational, communication and motivational skills.
· Have impeccable follow-through.
· Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
· Ability to work under pressure
· Candidate must have a good command of spoken and written English.
