The role of the Finance Coordinator Payroll is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel’s financial department. The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain accurate financial records, which include accounts in general cashier and payroll.
In addition to financial duties, this position may also be responsible for administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, and filing documents. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
The Finance Coordinator Payroll will assist in day-to-day finance operations and is primarily responsible for computing, recording, collecting, analyzing, and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records of the financial operations of the hotel.
Additionally, the Finance Coordinator Payroll is responsible for generating bills and collecting all revenue owed to the hotel in an accurate, timely manner by accounting policies and procedures. The Finance Coordinator Payroll also, assists the finance management team in directing the financial activities of the hotel.
To better qualify for this position, the candidate may possess a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. High School Graduate or Master of commerce or BS in Accounting preferred.
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel / Word) and experience with PMS like Opera, Room Master, Protel, Visual One, Delphi, Sun Finance, Oracle Finance, SAP, etc.
Experience in the hotel industry is preferred, but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software is a must. 1-2 years of work experience with previous accounting Office experience or experience in Hotel or hospitality-related Finance and Accounting is a Plus.

Other Finance Coordinator Payroll Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepares daily bank deposit in timely manner for armored car pick-up.

Prepares due-backs on a daily basis for cashiers and bartenders.
· Reports immediately to Director of Finance any missing deposits or discrepancies between cash envelopes and actual deposits.
· Prepares General Cashier’s Report daily.
· Generate the Bank Extracts for reconciliations on Weekly basis
· Process tips and gratuities.
· Ensures sufficient funds are on hand for daily hotel operation. Provides change to hotel staff. Maintains minimal but sufficient petty cash.
· Filing and maintaining financial documents.
· Make the Autoarqueo Daily
· Generate Journal Vouchers to be posted in SunSystem and keep the records with their proper backup and signature.
· Prepare monthly reconciliations of accounting activities in Blackline.
· Processes payroll for all hotel team members. Reviews accuracy of payroll and deductions and reports all discrepancies to DOF.
· Processes Payroll Payments of taxes and Insurances.
· Prepare and Overlook timesheets for TM & HOD, weekly.
· Generate Journal Vouchers to be posted in SunSystem and keep the records with their proper backup and signature.
· Prepare Payroll Accruals in Month end.
· Prepare Monthly reconciliations of accounting activities in Blackline.
What will I be doing?
The Finance Coordinator is accountable for the hotel in respect of understanding and driving financial performance and is responsible to perform all finance activities within the policy, regulatory and contractual framework.
You will be and remain familiar with the management agreement for the Hotel and implement processes and procedures to ensure the Hotel is operated in compliance with the management agreement, reporting issues of non-compliance to your superiors.
