Job description

The Waldorf Astoria London, Admiralty Arch is looking for an  Executive Housekeeper to form part of the pre-opening team for this brand-new luxury hotel set to open summer 2026.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Executive Housekeeper to support the opening of one of London’s most anticipated hotels.

This luxury hotel will be housed in the iconic Admiralty Arch, a Grade I listed building located at the end of The Mall, opposite Buckingham Palace.  

The project is a collaboration between Hilton and Reuben Brothers, who acquired the property in 2022. The hotel will feature 112 rooms and suites, including a two-bedroom VIP suite on the fourth-floor bridge with stunning views of Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square. Guests can also enjoy a rooftop terrace on the sixth floor and a ground-floor terrace overlooking St James's Park.

The Waldorf Astoria London, Admiralty Arch will offer world-class dining options with restaurants and bars helmed by renowned chefs, as well as a Spa and a 320-cover ballroom. This development aims to preserve the historical significance of Admiralty Arch while providing a luxurious experience for guests.

As the Executive Housekeeper, you will be entrusted with curating an immaculate guest experience through the seamless orchestration of housekeeping, valet and laundry operations. Your leadership will ensure that every detail reflects the highest standards of luxury, comfort, and elegance.

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead Housekeeping Excellence: Direct and elevate all housekeeping operations, ensuring flawless presentation and pristine environments throughout the property.

·       Guest Experience Enhancement: Monitor guest satisfaction metrics and implement strategic improvements to exceed expectations and uphold a five-star Forbes standard.

·       Financial Stewardship: Manage departmental budgets with precision, optimizing stock control, cost efficiency, and scheduling to support operational excellence.

·       Strategic Oversight: Define and implement departmental goals, policies, and procedures that align with the brand’s luxury ethos.

·       Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure compliance with premium standards and initiate corrective actions where necessary.

·       Team Empowerment: Inspire and mentor the Housekeeping teams, fostering a culture of professionalism, continuous learning, and collaboration.

·       Product Knowledge: Ensure all team members possess comprehensive knowledge of room categories, amenities, and service offerings.

·       Cross-Departmental Harmony: Maintain exceptional communication and relationships across hotel departments and with external partners.

·       Operational Readiness: Guarantee optimal staffing levels to meet dynamic business needs with agility and grace.

·       Technology Proficiency: Utilize property management systems and digital tools to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

·       Familiar with Property Management Systems

·       Knowledge of Spa Cleaning standards

·       Knowledge of large banqueting cleaning standards

·       Managing florist and landscaping contractors
