Job description

Job Requirements

·    Proactively generate new business from all markets with a focus on MICE, Leisure, and Entertainment, assuring the corresponding sales activities to win these customers remains up-to-date at all times.
·    Researches and helps to identify business opportunities and reports findings to management accordingly
·    Develop new accounts whilst maintaining relationships with key existing accounts.
·    Manage large local accounts for both transient and groups.
·    Undertake professional and memorable site inspections for current and prospective clients.
·    Organises and executes FAM trips for clients alongside the Director of Sales
·   To attend corporate hospitality and networking events both locally and nationally when necessary.
·   Alongside the sales team, qualify, propose, and contract new leads with a focus on high value, VIP and buy-out bookings.
·    Support the Director of Sales in supervising the overall sales effort of the hotel.
·   Deliver on department KPIs
·   Manage RFP Process
·   Conduct Telesales Initiatives
·    Keep all systems and business processes updated as appropriate
·    Conduct and create product awareness initiatives with customers
·    Planning, co-ordination and implementing of sales trips in the designated territory by agreement with the Director of Sales & GM.
·    Manages cross-functional links with other departments & hotels.

Work Experience

·     Experience in 4- or 5-star hotels preferred.
·     Well organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·     Ideally have worked with Opera or a similar PMS system
·     Maintain an on-property presence for all large group and event bookings.
·     Proactive sales experience is a must for this role as
·    Attend weekly Operation and BEO meetings.
·     Work closely with Food & Beverage, Conference & Banqueting and Rooms Divisions to ensure all bookings are seamless.
