Job description
The Hilton Toronto is hiring an Events Manager to join the Events Department. Reporting to the Director of Events, this existing position is responsible for maintaining high standards of service for our clients and maximizing banquet revenue of our 35,000+ square feet of banquet space.

What will you be doing?
The key responsibilities you would own as an Events Manager are:

Create and distribute all details of bookings in the form of BEO and other reports in a timely and organized fashion to appropriate departments to facilitate efficient planning, purchasing and scheduling
· Ensure any missing details are addressed with the client before the event
·
Provide sales support for team members at closing of potential business
·
Liaise with other department team members to communicate information and ensure customer satisfaction and hotel profitability
·
Develop individual monthly production reports and monitor results
·
Inspect function rooms and welcome clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat clientele.
·
Prepare and customize proposals to meeting client's needs and hotel’s guidelines of profitability.
·
Attend client set up and/or special events to ensure smooth running and introduce client to Banquets/Operations.
·
Track Events productivity report on a weekly basis
·
Analyze banquet revenues daily to ensure revenue goals are met
·
Conduct site inspections with clients, showing rooms, meeting space, food and beverage and recreation facilities
·
Provide written and verbal communication to clients regarding the management of their account
·
Other duties as assigned by management

· Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role with a proven track record

·
High level of grooming standards
·
Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends
Bonus if you also have:
· Degree or diploma in relevant or equivalent field
· Hotel experience

Availability : This position is located on the property of the Hilton Toronto and is not a remote position. Some coverage during the evening, weekend, and holidays may be required on occasion.
Salary Range : 65,000 - 70,000 per annum
