Job description

The Juniper Hotel Cupertino is in an immediate need for an  Engineering Manager to join their elaborate team! The team consists of three Engineer professionals, and you could be the newest addition! With 224 rooms, our hotel is less than 20 minutes from Levi's Stadium and San Jose Airport and close to Saratoga’s great wineries. Santana Row shops are five miles away. 

Manages the functionality and safety of the facility, including the physical building/s, mechanical equipment, electrical system/s, heating and cooling systems and life safety systems in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations. Assigns work, supervises staff and verifies and documents the completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system. Directs outside contractors, communicates with city officials and inspects quality of work by staff. Responds and coordinates responses to guest calls and emergency situations. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.

What will I be doing?

·   Supervises programs involving electrical, mechanical and general construction, repair and maintenance of existing facilities and equipment, operation of plant utilities.

·    Assigns, supervises, and verifies completion of routine maintenance and operation of physical structure of hotel, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment which contributes to the safe and effective operation of the facility. Visually inspects quality of work and assigns staff and directs outside contractors in tasks according to performance and productivity standards.

·     Hires, disciplines, counsels, trains engineering staff.

·     Communicates effectively with city officials to ensure proper maintenance of permits and licenses, coordinating inspections with the appropriate department.

·     Acts as a liaison between hotel and vendors to review latest in hotel technology and products. Attends Engineering conventions to educates

Salary Range $80,000 - $90,000
