Electrician

Job description

An Electrician will support the Engineering Department by carrying out electrical maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and comfort of all areas of the hotel.

What will I be doing?

As an Electrician, you will support the Engineering Department to ensure an exceptional operational experience throughout the hotel. Specifically, an Electrician will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

Perform day-to-day electrical maintenance tasks in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house

· 
Respond promptly to electrical faults, power failures, and emergency calls

· 
Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential electrical hazards

· 
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment according to safety regulations

· 
Assist the Engineering Team with planned maintenance schedules and special projects

· 
Maintain all electrical tools and equipment in safe and proper condition

· 
Follow all Health and Safety procedures and ensure compliance with hotel standards and legal regulations

· 
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with Guests and other team members

· 
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer to support the smooth running of hotel operations

Electricians serving Hilton brands are always working on behalf of our Guests and in collaboration with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

Previous electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or in similarly dynamic environments such as ships, hospitals, or commercial buildings

· 
A certificate or qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field, preferred

· 
Solid knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safety protocols

· 
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· 
Ability to work independently and manage tasks within established timeframes

· 
A proactive work ethic and attention to detail

· 
A passion for maintaining a safe and fully operational environment for guests and team members
