Duty Manager

Job description

As Duty Manager at Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island, you will serve as the main point of contact for guests during operational hours, ensuring exceptional service and seamless coordination across departments. Your role will be key in representing the resort’s luxury standards and values, especially for our Russian-speaking guests. Candidates with a Waldorf Astoria background and working knowledge of OnQ will be prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the Manager on Duty during scheduled shifts, ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth resort operations.

· 
Provide personalized service and support to our Russian-speaking clientele, acting as a cultural and linguistic liaison.

· 
Handle guest complaints and incidents with professionalism, empathy, and discretion, resolving issues promptly.

· 
Coordinate effectively with all departments to ensure prompt service delivery and guest satisfaction.

· 
Conduct regular property walks to ensure public areas, back-of-house, and facilities meet brand standards.

· 
Ensure a seamless arrival and departure experience for VIPs, Hilton Honors guests, and repeat visitors.

· 
Monitor and maintain front office systems including OnQ, ensuring accuracy of guest profiles, billing, and room assignments.

· 
Prepare daily reports for senior management and assist in handovers between shifts.

· 
Uphold Hilton’s brand standards and maintain the Waldorf Astoria spirit.

· 
Support and guide the Front Office team, providing on-the-job training and mentoring when necessary.

Qualifications:

· 
Fluency in Russian and English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.

· 
Previous experience in luxury hospitality, preferably with Waldorf Astoria .

· 
Hands-on knowledge of OnQ and Hilton systems is highly desirable.

· 
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

· 
Passion for delivering exceptional guest service and luxury experiences.

· 
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

· 
A collaborative team player with a professional appearance and demeanor.
