Located just across from the main Exhibition Centre and Congress Hall, and near key European institutions and major business headquarters, Hilton Strasbourg enjoys a prime position in the city’s business district. Just 2 km from the historic Notre-Dame Cathedral and close to the A4 motorway, the hotel is ideally situated for both business and leisure. With 1,200 square meters of flexible event space, including boardrooms, a ballroom, and a panoramic room, the hotel can host up to 600 guests for conferences and special events. Hilton Strasbourg is the preferred choice for corporate travelers, congress participants, and visitors eager to explore the famous Christmas Market or the renowned Route des Vins. The hotel features 245 guest rooms and an Executive Lounge exclusively for loyalty program members.
Scope of Role
You will be responsible for the planning, organization and management of the operational departments Front Office, F&B Service, Kitchen and HSK through communication, coordination and cooperation between the departments. As part of the executive management team, you will report directly to the General Manager of the hotels in this responsible position.
Main Responsibilities
Successful candidates have a proven track record in:
Operational Leadership:
- You will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage service and kitchen
- You will ensure the Hilton standards of service and guest satisfaction are consistently maintained.
Strategic Management:
- You will collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement short-term and long-term operational strategies.
- You will lead key property projects, including renovations, capital improvements, new service initiatives, ESG projects, Quality, Navitas, Green Key
Budgeting and Financial Management:
- You will assist in the preparation and management of the hotel's annual budget.
- You will monitor departmental forecasts, business reviews, budgets, control costs, and analyze financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
Team Development and Leadership:
- You will provide effective leadership and support to department heads and their teams.
- You will foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional development, and career growth.
- You will implement succession planning to ensure the continuity of high-quality management in compliance with internal and legal requirements.
Guest Experience:
- You will ensure all guest interactions are handled with the utmost professionalism and hospitality.
- You will actively seek and respond to guest feedback to continually enhance the guest experience.
- You will be a visible presence in the hotel, engaging guests to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Quality Assurance:
- You will ensure compliance with hotel and company service standards and operational procedures.
- You will regularly review and respond to audit findings to drive continuous improvement.
And finally, Communication and Coordination:
- You will hold regular meetings with department heads to ensure clear communication and alignment on hotel goals and initiatives.
- You will serve as a key point of contact for all operational matters, facilitating collaboration across departments.
Work Experience
Essential Skills and Qualifications
To successfully fill this role, you must possess the following qualifications, attitude, behaviors, skills, and values:
- A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or a related field
- Experience in international Hotel chain hotels
- Strong commercial acumen, preferably with experience as Food and Beverage Manager and/or Rooms Management
- Passion for interacting with guests
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with 4 or 5-star standards
- Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting results
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high performance and exceed targets
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Accountability and resilience
- Ability to work under pressure
- Fluent French and English. Proficiency in multiple languages is considered a plus
- EU citizen or ongoing French Work Permit for full time with a validity of minimum two years
