Doubletree Magnificent Mile is seeking an experienced Cook II to join their talented team!

Positioned between the Magnificent Mile and Navy Pier, The DoubleTree Magnificent Mile is a premier destination for anyone visiting Chicago. The property features 378 guests rooms with 17,000 sq. ft. of banquet space across 12 meeting rooms. The new restaurant HotHouse invites guest to relax over sweet and savory plates meant for sharing. We are seeking an energetic individual who is career driven, with a positive approach to hospitality. 

As the ideal candidate, you will:

·  Have a solidified knowledge of culinary preparation and execution
·  Have previous experience in a professional production kitchen
·  Have a detail-oriented approach to your work
·  Have previous experience working with BEOs in a time-sensitive atmosphere
·  Have working knowledge of various cuisines

If you have previous high-volume banquet experience and a background in various cuisine styles, that's a huge plus!

As a Cook II , you'll be responsible for:

·  Preparing food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
·  Maintaining cleanliness and complying with food sanitation standards at all times
·  Managing banquet event orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
·  Ensuring knowledge of menu and all food products
·  Stocking and maintaining designated food station(s)
·  Visually inspecting all food sent from the kitchen
·  Practicing correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
·  Collaborating with culinary team on upcoming event preparations
