Position Purpose
The Income Audit (IA) Clerk is responsible for auditing and verifying the accuracy of daily income and revenue transactions for multiple hotels within the cluster. This role ensures compliance with financial policies and procedures, maintaining the integrity of financial records.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
Daily Revenue Audit
· Audit daily revenue figures, supporting reports, and vouchers.
· Review and verify the daily General Cashier’s Report.
· Ensure all revenue is captured and reported accurately and timely.
Reconciliation and Reporting
· Prepare Daily and Monthly Revenue and Settlement Reconciliation.
· Reconcile credit card charges between electronic credit card machines and point of sale systems daily.
· Prepare daily revenue reports for the Cluster Director of Finance.
Compliance and Verification
· Ensure all gifts or entertainment vouchers are controlled as per policy.
· Review and authorize entertainment dockets and officers’ checks, ensuring appropriate detail and signatures.
· Verify that complimentary rooms and all respective revenue from telephone and internet interfaces are properly authorized and posted.
Documentation and Filing
· Print, audit, and file relevant Front Office and Outlet reports in chronological order.
· Maintain an up-to-date filing system for all income audit records.
· Ensure accurate and timely input of data to the general ledger system.
Discrepancy Management
· Check Room Rate and Room Status Discrepancy Reports, reporting any exceptions.
· Record cashier overs/ unders and follow up with relevant departments.
· Follow up on discrepancies, incomplete work, or missing information with relevant departments.
Additional Responsibilities
Audit daily food and beverage reports, ensuring all restaurant and bar checks are accounted for.
Requirements
· Experience in income auditing, preferably within the hospitality industry.
· Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with owners, stakeholders, and team member
· Proficiency in English and Vietnamese; additional languages are a plus.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
