Job description
Join the team at Hilton Adelaide ! We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to take charge of a kitchen section, oversee food preparation, and keep daily operations running smoothly. You'll train staff, contribute to menu planning, and maintain high food and safety standards.
Hilton Adelaide is centrally located, overlooking Victoria Square. The hotel has 377 rooms ranging from guest rooms to the executive floor and suites. Hilton Adelaide offers unrivalled conference and events facilities comprising of 19 meeting rooms. It is the only 5-star hotel in Adelaide able to host 500 delegates to meet, eat and sleep, all under one roof.
What You'll be doing
· Preparing food efficiently, economically, and hygienically
· Supporting kitchen operations and ensuring timely service
· Planning and prepping high-quality food for the restaurant, functions and other outlets
· Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, following food safety standards (HACCP, FSMS)
· Assisting with inventory, off-site events, and kitchen-related tasks
· Collaborating with other departments to maintain high standards
· Monitoring food quality, portion control, and ensuring efficient use of ingredients
· Training team members and supervising their performance
What We're Looking For
· Minimum 3 years of experience in a kitchen, ideally in a 5-star hotel or top-tier restaurant
· Full Australian working rights
· Valid trade qualification
· Strong cooking skills and knowledge of food safety
· Able to handle pressure, prioritise tasks, and solve problems calmly
· Leadership and training skills, with a positive attitude and a team-focused approach
· Excellent communication and a passion for food trends
· Availability for shifts, including nights and weekends
