Job description

A Boilerman position is concerned with the smooth operation of all steam boiler, hot water calorifiers and associated machines and equipment within the company premises.

What will I be doing?

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

· 
Performs efficient preventive maintenance works on all steam boiler, hot water calorifiers and associated machines to avoid 

unforeseen operation interruption.

· 
Ensure all work carried out should be in schedule and fully comply with local safety rules and regulations.

· 
Dosing of chemicals for water treatment on the boiler as per specifications provided.

· 
Attend to complaints on urgent repairs as requested through phone calls without delay.

· 
Record operating machine readings on log sheets daily and whatever work carried out into the communication book.

· 
Assist Engineering staff on other trade whenever called upon.

· 
Incorporate permanently as a member of the safety, fire drill.

· 
To carry out shift duty, split duty or when called up from time to time.

· 
Maintain boiler room tools, equipment and all related Engineering areas in a clean and neat condition at all times.

· 
 Keep the Senior Section Engineer / Assistant Maintenance Manager informed of happenings in the boiler room.

· 
To monitor spare parts/supplies.

· 
Responsible for all the system undertaken by Engineering Department.

·  Performs any special duties assigned by the Duty Engineer / Assistant Maintenance Manager
