Job description
A Building Management System (BMS) Technician will support the Engineering Team to efficiently maintain all hotel operations such that safety, security, conversation, and compliance are ensured at the highest levels.
What will I be doing?
As a BMS Technician, you will support the Engineering Team to ensure that engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel, including general property maintenance energy conservation, are working properly and to standard. You are responsible for the Building Management System and staying abreast of compliance regulations and procedures in the field of Engineering, as required for hotel standards. Specifically, a BMS Technician will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Respond promptly and efficiently to any maintenance calls that arise
· Execute the preventative maintenance schedule and ensure all equipment and designated areas are maintained to the required standard
· Assist in the implementation of energy conservation program
· Recommend maintenance system improvements and energy savings
· Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition
· Keep your technical training knowledge and skills up to date
· Operating computer console Keyboard, printers, disc drives, radio equipment, elevator control panels, cooling tower fan controls, intercoms, fire communications equipment, closed circuit television systems, Building services system (Access control, Sliding door, Lifts, Fire Operated door, CCTV, Fire Alarm, FM200 system, BMS, Medical, Vacuum, LPG detection system and Trunk Radio system, Radio repair skill will be preferable and standby generators.
· Controlling and monitoring systems such as HVAC System, Fire Alarm System, Fire Fighting System, Public Addressing PA System, BTU System, Electricals Panels, DG Generator Sets, Water Leak Detection WLD, Lightning Control System LCS, PAC, UPS, CAC, CCTV, including system start-up and trouble shooting
· Fault finding on BMS and control system products
· Conduct site surveys and inspections and Assists coordinating technical, maintenance, and operations personnel to troubleshoot operating problems.

· A certificate in a specialized field such as Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Carpentry, or Plumbing, required
· Current working knowledge of general maintenance and engineering work
· Experience in the Maintenance Department of a large hotel, hospital, ship, and/or restaurant complex or similar
· Strong work ethic
· A passion for delivering great customer service
· Ability to work without close supervision and within established timeframes
· Ability to motivate and provide technical guidance to technicians and sub-contractors
· Experience in BMS System, reading alerts, applying controls, reporting, software configuration, applying updates
· Experience In Low Current Systems (HVAC system, Fire Alarm System, Telephone, Audio Visual, Computer Network, MATV, CCTV and Security System
