Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi made a wow debut in 2019 and is already recognized as one of the finest resorts in the world. Sprawled across three islands, the resort is one of the most sizable in the Maldives. What will I be doing?

As Beverage Manager serving Waldorf Astoria Maldives, you will be responsible for managing and assisting all food and beverage outlets according to Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi Service Delivery Standards, to consistently deliver maximum profit and guest satisfaction. This position is concerned with the responsibility of the quality, profitability, and sales of the overall beverage (except wine) experience in the property. Responsible for beverage knowledge training within the property and therefore works closely with the training manager and any external Beverage consultants or suppliers. As the Beverage Manager, you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards.

·  Maintain a high guest service focus by approaching your job with the guests always in mind and being proactive in a timely manner towards their needs and requests.
·  Ensure that cocktail recipe cards are available for all cocktails in all outlets. 
·  Ensure that costings are done for the entire beverage menu in consultation with Director of F&B 
·  Assign responsibilities to team members and to check their performance periodically.
·  Any other tasks as requested by our guests, supervisor or Management of the resort.
·  Organize Two Cocktail or Special Beverage event every month in the Resort
·  Have a positive impact, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with both guests and colleagues.
·  Be motivated and committed, approaching all tasks with enthusiasm and seizing opportunities to learn new skills or knowledge in order to improve your personal performance.
·  Be flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested of you.
·  Maintain high Team focus by showing team work and support to colleagues in the pursuit of team goals.
·  Contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance operational/environmental procedures in the Resort.
·  Actively promote the services and facilities of the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi and the Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts to guests and suppliers of the Resort.
·  Perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner that ensures your safety and that of others in your workplace.
·  Ensure that True Waldorf Service and the Waldorf Astoria Brand Standards are fully implemented and demonstrated by all Members of the Team.
·  Fully embrace “Live Unforgettable” and deliver “True Waldorf Service”.
·  Be fully familiar with the Waldorf Astoria Brand Standards and the Quality Assurance Audit and to follow these standards of service at all times.
·  Have a complete understanding of the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi Team Members Handbook and to adhere to the rules and regulations of the Resort.
·  Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times by adhering to the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi Grooming Standards.
·  Report to work punctually wearing the correct uniform, nametag, capitan order, pen, wine opener and lighter at all times.
Have a complete understanding of and adhere to the resort’s policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety and take necessary action when required
·  Take direction from and carry out any requests by management in conjunction with work.
·  Provide guests with friendly, efficient, accurate and polite service at all times.
·  Effectively communicates with other Team Members including concessionaires and third parties.
·  Work closely with all departments of the resort to ensure a thoroughly enjoyable experience for the guests and a profitable hotel operation.
·  Ensure that all outlets have an updated cocktail and beverage list.
·  Keep an updated master beverage list with costs, selling prices, including cocktails.
·  Every Quarter -Discuss menu content and beverage list, recommends drinks to accompany food, displays a sound knowledge of the products.
·  Ensure that all bar equipment (glassware, fridge, cellars, etc …) in the outlets is in sufficent quantity, in proper working order and cleaned/maintained properly.
·  Work with suppliers and ensure that shipment and storage of beverage bottle is done within the highest standards.
·  Ensure that storage conditions of beverage bottle in the resort (store and outlets) is appropriate.
·  Keep abreast of industry trends and competition and makes recommendations based on competition and industry changes.
·  Work closely with Outlet Managers and Outlet bartenders towards an always better beverage experience.
·  Ensure that all duties of the Assistant Bar Managers are performed as outlined in their job description, sharing knowledge and skills as required.
·  Deliver weekly training for F&B Team Members and Supervisors to assist them in promoting and up-selling beverages and specific labels
·  Keep up-to-date with the Stay Experience results and to seek to positively influence these results by following the Waldorf Astoria Brand Standards.
·  Maintain a high guest service focus and always provide Guests with an enjoyable and memorable experience.
·  Constantly strive to increase guest satisfaction through quality, creativity, range and value for money throughout the Resort in all facilities & services.
·  Maintain a high guest service focus through a “Can Do” & flexible attitude. 
·  Cultivate guest relations and rapport always aiming to go the “extra mile” with every single guest and anticipate his/her needs.
·  Identify and suggest all possible ways to increase quality, range and value for money of the all the food and beverage items available throughout the property.
·  Assist guests to choose cocktails, other beverages and cigars according to their requirements.
·  Promote  the resort’s facilities and services by engaging Guests in conversations about F&B Events, Speciality Restaurants, Excursions, Spa treatments etc
·  Seek to minimise costs through correct use and handling of hotel property and equipment. 
·  Ensure achievement of beverage revenue and profit plan of the department, detailed in the revenue plan for the year.
·  Set clear Upselling objectives with regards to beverages with the Director of F&B, and review them on a monthly basis.
·  Ensure that all beverages and cigar items are priced according to the outlets’ targets in terms of profit remaining competitive within the market.
·  Ensure that all pouring measures for spirit and liquor shots (40ml) are accurate as per standard.
·  Provide forecasts and updates on anticipated changes in the business whenever appropriate, and report them to the Director of F&B for action.
·  Keep Micros items fully updated, in order to produce accurate bills and reports.
·  Check inventory and order all store requisitions to ensures that items are kept at appropriate par level.
·  Ensure appropriate stock rotations.
·  Work closely with accounts for the monthly stock take.
·  Work closely with the Chief Steward for equipment inventory and breakage control.
·  Work closely with purchasing and store for the order, delivery, and control of beverages received.
·  Constantly strive to increase guest satisfaction through INDIVIDUALITY, quality, creativity, range and value for money available throughout the property.
·  Provide both Guests and fellow Team Members “Live Unforgetble” experience through “True Waldorf Service”, “Inspirational Environments” and “Authentic Moments”, to always maintain a pleasant and seamless working environment.
·  Be fully aware of the objectives of the property specifically departmental business objectives and targets.
·  Keep excellent relationships with team, peers, and all other colleagues of the Resort.
·  Report training needs and all relevant matters to supervisor/manager.
·  Attend and actively participate in training sessions and monthly communication meetings
·  Attend daily operations briefing with direct reports/supervisors.
·  Keep courteous, professional relationships with suppliers, colleagues from competition, and from other Waldorf Astoria properties or Hilton Worldwide Properties.
·  Enhance and encourage Team Member motivation leading by example at all times.
·  Conduct all food, beverage and cigar related training sessions and/or source the appropriate trainer together with the training manager.

·  Prioritization skills necessary to meet deadlines
·  Candidate must have a good command of spoken and written English and another European/Asian language is desirable
