You will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction on assigned floors, supervise housekeeping staff, manage inventory, and coordinating with other departments to maintain a seamless operation. As an Assistant Housekeeper, you’re not just managing housekeeping staff – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

Manage Housekeeping Staff: Lead and oversee the work of housekeeping attendants on assigned rooms and floors, ensuring adherence to cleanliness standards.

Inspect Rooms and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections to ensure all rooms and public areas meet the hotel’s high standards.

Manage Inventory: Monitor and maintain housekeeping supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper usage.

Schedule Shifts: Organize work schedules for housekeeping staff to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.

Handle Guest Requests: Provide excellent customer service to guests, making them feel welcome and addressing their needs. Address special cleaning requests and resolve any housekeeping-related issues promptly.

Train New Employees: Mentor and train new housekeeping staff to uphold the hotel’s standards of cleanliness and service.

Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with the front desk, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Report on Operations: Track and report key performance indicators, such as guest satisfaction and cleanliness ratings.

Proven experience as an Assistant Housekeeper or similar role in the hospitality industry.

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent understanding of housekeeping procedures and standards.

Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
