This is your chance to be part of an in-house Commercial Services team that propels Hilton's sales, revenue management, call center, and analytics functions! As an Area Director of Sales, on the Commercial Team, reporting to the Regional Director of Sales, Mexico, you will achieve topline resort budget targets and outperforming the marketplace.

What you'll do during a typical day:

·  Manage resort sales and marketing plans to ensure they interpret and support business objectives by focusing and use these plans to focus the sales efforts for all market segments.
·  Prepare and approve hotel contracts with customers following current business and pricing conditions.
·  Direct the group forecasting process together with the Revenue Department to insure accurate, timely and complete information.
·  Develop the group team through leadership and by example to include sales development; participate in the hiring of team members, and their future success.
·  Compile and direct the preparation of Sales Department operational reports to include the annual and monthly Forecast, Lead Management System, and Booking Reports
·  Accomplish initiatives as outlined; swiftly implement strategies to offset changes in markets, economy or by the competitive set.
·  Organize comprehensive information describing the range of products and services offered by the hotel and deliver this information through relevant sales resources and sales channels to existing and potential Guests.
·  Produce accurate reports / presentations that meet the needs of the hotel and the management company.

How you'll collaborate with others:

·  Work with the Senior Management Team to identify and lead focused activities on elements of the business that require additional support.
·  Liase with Hilton Worldwide Sales to understand and address opportunities with lead conversion, client communication and resort meeting execution.

Deliverables you'll take ownership of:

·  Instill proper Sales fundamentals including the best Site visits and FAM trips, rapid response to group leads and the best group conversion rate.
·  Participate and complete the preparation of the annual Sales and Market Plan, quarterly updates, and the complexed hotels' annual Budgets.
·  Present, on a monthly basis, the contribution, focus and activity of the proactive sales team to the hotel owners and senior management team.

What It Takes to Make the Stay

You have these minimum qualifications:

·  Ten (10) years in overall hotel sales
·  Five (5) years in leadership roles (Director, Regional or multi-property DOS)
·  Relationships with wholesale accounts (both all-inclusive and luxury)
·  Experience managing large revenue targets and hybrid teams
·  Spanish/English proficiency (written and oral)
·  Travel - minimum of 75% (will require extensive travel to Cancun, Tulum, and Vallarta)

It would be useful if you have:

·  Fifteen (15) years in hotel sales
·  Ten (10) years in a leadership role
